Zaid is in his last year of civil engineering co-op aiming to specialize in utilities and water resources, and has been a part of GNCTR for 4 years now, from general member to concrete lead. Besides yelling at the Oilers, playing video games, and learning useless information, Zaid loves going out and trying new things and experiences.

VP RACE DAY
University of Alberta Civil & Environmental, Class of 2026
GNCTR Experience: 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026
Stewart is currently a 5th year Civil Engineering Co-Op student at the University of Alberta, expected to graduate this spring. In his 4 year tenure on the UofA's T-Bogg team, he has taken on the roles of Concrete Lead, Engagement Coordinator, Project Coordinator, and the always fun Spirit Captain. After tearing it up at Comp from Kelowna to St. John's, he is super excited to be on the OC for a Comp that will be remembered throughout the ages.
Outside of GNCTR, Stewart has had different structural engineering positions, he is a stickler for codes and standards. When he is not nose deep in the NBCC, you can likely find him ripping through town on his unicycle, or stumbling his way through the Alberta Craft Beer Festival. However, with as much as he enjoys going out, you are just as likely to find him at home with far too many sweaters on drawing, painting figurines, rolling dice, or dealing cards. As the 2027 competition draws nearer, he will be duel wielding his responsibilities to the Great T-Bogg in the sky as well as his upcoming Structural Engineering Master's.

I know, I know, I’m not an engineer but 6 years in GNCTR counts for something right?? I followed in my brothers’ footsteps joining the team almost 10 years ago, and have gone through half a chemistry degree, a full nursing degree, and COVID while on the team. GNCTR has meant so much to me and I’m excited to keep it going! Just remember to wear your sunscreen!
